My mother used to say that Arthur reminded her of her own father. For her, that was the ultimate compliment. I saw Arthur as a gentleman and a man of honor.

I went to Fleming Co High school. My first 2 years he was bb coach, last 2 he was principal. He was a good guy, tough but fair. They need more like him in schools today. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Arthur was a wonderful man. He had a great sense of humor. I will miss sitting next to him in church. Arthur, Bill and I would talk about what had been going on since the last time we were together and have a few laughs before services started. We will miss our pew partner.
