Our condolences to Mrs. White and Mayor White's whole family. My mother worked for Mayor White when she first came to Boston and always spoke so highly of him. I can remember seeing him as a kid in the candy store on Charles Street and being awe-struck when he spoke to me. He had a very special presence and changed our city in such important ways. We are so sorry for your loss.

Deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Mayor Kevin White. The world is so much richer for his having existed. His type are few and so necessary. A visionary. Thank you for using your talents to the betterment of others.

My heartfelt condolences to Kathryn White and family. I remember fondly the days when Mr. White was in office. It was a special time for Boston and he set the city on the path to a great renaissance. His legacy will live forever. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

I remember summer jobs at APAC in the daytime to Summerthing at night at the City Yard in East Boston. Thank you Mayor White. You were right when you said "This is our city ...the City of BOSTON"

I wish to send my condolences to Kathryn
and the children I am a classmate of Kevin's from Tabor Academy class of 1948
The last time I saw him was at our 50th
class reunion in 1998. I thanked him for some of his help while in Boston and I reminisced of our days at Tabor.

I had the opportunity and honor to meet Mayor White in the early '70s as a young woman from Maine studying in Boston. I won't forget his electric smile.

He made the City of Boston a wonderful place to live.
