Mr. Carroll literally came into this world and made it better with everything he touched. His uncanny ability to see something and recreate it with exacting precision was seen in his work, at the coast and around his home. A few of us were privileged to witness up close, his fiery tutelage as well as his quiet resolve with compassionate words of wisdom and guidance. Well, the old salt has left his earthly lines for calm seas and fair winds above. He was one of the very few I held in high esteem and his loss will be felt for a long time.

Before Bobby and I got married,Bobby called me one evening and said Dad wants to talk to you. Come by the Lab after work. When I got there it was just the three of us. He told me he was going to give us some money so we could start our marriage debt free. I think it was 500 dollars. I really don't remember. I hugged him and cried like a baby. Typical Bill Carroll said...what the hell are you crying for? I told him I was happy. He said...well I'd hate to see you sad!
Well Dad I'm really sad now. I will miss you and your sense of humor! BUT I know you are in Heaven! Love, Debbie Carroll
