Abby was such a great student at New Hopewell. Not only was she smart and talented she also had such a sweet spirit with a ready smile. I was disappointed when I didn't get her in kindergarten after having had Todd and you. I kept an eye on her and was proud of her many accomplishments. We know she was well loved and we can't help but miss her. Your family is being held up in thoughts and prayers.

Abby was in the group of kids at New Hopewell that are very special to me, since they were my first class of 1st graders. I did not have Abby, but knew her very well as a beautiful girl with a beautiful smile, cute freckles and wonderful hugs!! She will be greatly missed at New Hopewell, but never forgotten! We will continue to keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers!

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. New Hopewell will definately miss seeing her cute freckles and never-ending smile. She will always be a part of our school family.

I went to New Hopewell when I was a kid. I remember the joy of youth and how it doesn't last. Growing up in Knoxville, most of us learned to love our community and the people around it. I never met Abby but I have a 5-year old son and a 19 month old daughter. I just found out about Abby today and regret that I didn't know beforehand. Whatever one believes in, whether it be heaven or some other form of life, being a parent and losing a child is the one thing no one should ever have to experience. No words can bring joy to such a sad time but through love and support from family and friends her legacy will live on forever. She seemed like such a sweet girl though I never met her. Being a photographer and seeing her images and knowing that she lived a fun and inspirational life makes it harder to let go. Never let go of this sweet creature and I hope that someday that hole in her mother's heart will somehow mend. Nothing I say can bring this rough entry in life to an end but I hope the words I offer will give some sense of appreciation for the time we have in this world and the true love that exists between a mother and her child. Stay strong and never forget.

We are so sorry for your loss. I know that there are no words that can take away the pain that you all are feeling now, but I hope with time it gets easier to deal. Abby was such a sweet little girl with a beautiful smile. Aryanna and Brooke spoke of her often and loved their "bus buddy." I will always remember that smile on her face as she rode her bike up and down the street. She was and always will be a very special girl to so many.
