Dearest Son: For some reason, on Labor Day I always think about the trip we took to Chicago. You were a little guy. You and I walked the beach - you loved the lake and didn't want to leave. I pray that when we are together in Heaven we can take lots of walks along the beach. I love and miss you, sweet boy. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: Your great-great Aunt Bonnie passed away last night. She always thought a lot of you and it hurt her so when you died. I hope that you are having a wonderful reunion in Heaven. I love and miss you, sweet boy. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: Steve's birthday surprise went well. Clementine has been playing with some of your bears. She took special liking to angel bear you gave me when your little sister went to Heaven in 1999. I like to think that you are taking care of her. I love and miss you, sweet son. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: The monument was installed yesterday. It looks beautiful! I hope you like it. There is something very humbling about seeing one'a own name on a monument. I love and miss you sweet son. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: This morning, I was interviewing a young man and we were talking about when patients die. He said what helps him is that he sees their death as it is just their time. I've read a great deal about this and have experienced a great deal of death. I know that there is a plan and purpose for every life, but sometimes, it's just so hard to reconcile when someone dies young. I love and miss you, my sweet, darling son. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: It looks as if the monument will be installed today. When I went to visit you yesterday, there appeared to be some prep work done. As much as I will be happy to have it completed, it makes me so sad. I cried almost all evening. I love and miss you, sweet son. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: I saw a young man yesterday who dressed a lot like you and I was filled with the sadness and pain of missing you so very terribly. I know that you are happy and you help your loved ones. I just wish I could give you a big hug or pat on the back. I love you, sweet son. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: I thought of something to do with some of your bears. I thought I would get new outfits for them and then give the bears to special people who would appreciate and honor your memory. I love and miss you my sweet, darling boy. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: Oh, how very much I wish I could give you a hug today! I love and miss you, my sweet son. Love, Mom

Dearest Son: Last night I dreamt about you again and that I was going to buy you a Super-soaker. It reminded me of the time you had that Super-soaker and we were at the Grans. You were chasing me through the yard and I was running and laughing so hard I wet my pants! But no one could tell because I was soaking wet, thanks to you! I'm so glad we had so much fun and I have some wonderful, funny memories. I love and miss you, Mr. Prankster. Love, Mom
