HUNTERTOWN — L. Kathryn Stoll, age 95, of Avilla, Indiana, and formerly of Huntertown died Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville, Indiana.
She was born July 7, 1922, in Wolcottville, Indiana, to Ferman D. and Angelia B. (Butler) Fiandt Sr. She married Leroy O. Stoll on March 18, 1943, in Garrett, Indiana, and he passed on December 24, 2006.
L. Kathryn worked as a deli clerk at the White Swan IGA. She was a charter member of Our Hope Lutheran Church, Huntertown, Indiana.
L. Kathryn is survived by her son, James Roy Stoll of Albion, Indiana; daughter Sharon Kay (David) Byerley of Avilla, Indiana; three granddaughters, Michelle Grim of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Melissa Byerley of Bloomington, Indiana, and Nicole Springer of Ossian, Indiana; great-grandchildren Riley, Mariah, Emily, Tyler and Andrea Grim of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Gavin and Zoey Adienge of Bloomington, Indiana; and sister Betty Nelson of LaGrange, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy O. Stoll; parents Ferman D. and Angelia B. Fiandt Sr.; brother Ferman Fiandt Jr.; daughter in-law Ann M. Stoll; and sisters Ruth Olinger and Marjorie Holt.
Visitation will take place from 4-8 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017, at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, Indiana, and from 9:30–10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 201 at Our Hope Lutheran Church, Huntertown, Indiana.
Services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Our Hope Lutheran Church, 1826 Trinity Dr., Huntertown, Indiana, with Pastor Joe Fichtner officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
