Del, I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope you can find comfort with your loved ones during this difficult time. God Bless.
I am so sorry to hear that Sherry has passed away. I was really looking forward to meeting her someday. She will live on in your memories and your stories about her. I was looking at the Memorial Tribute and she was a beautiful lady just like you described her. My prayers are with you and your family.
As I walk down memory lane thinking of when we were kids I think mostly of how close us girl cousins were and how much fun we had when we would all get together at Grandma and Grandpa Holt's house on Sunday afternoons. There were around five or six of us and we were all probably under the age of eight. (Sherry was the oldest.) One memory stands out above the rest for me. Sherry decided we were going to have a chorus line and do the "can-can" for our parents! We practiced all afternoon in front of the mirror in Aunt Helen's room until we had it perfected. I think I remember this most because the last line of the song she taught us was "we even show our pants!" and we would turn around and flip up our dresses quickly and flash our panties! Then we'd scream and run back to the bedroom for more rehearsal... I remember when I heard she was moving to California. I couldn't believe it and knew it would never be the same without her with us on Sundays at Grandma's. Soon after, other cousins moved away as well and the Sunday afternoon get togethers were a thing of the the past. Sherry was a warm, loving, fun and beautiful person whom I will miss dearly. I wish I could be there. I know she's not suffering any more... and it makes me think of how she must've been smiling as she walked through heaven's gates and saw her Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, aunts, uncles and yes, even a couple of very young cousins. Delbert, Laurie, Mark and Lexi - I will keep you all in my prayers as you go through this extremely difficult time. Please keep in touch. Linda

Sue and I were saddened to hear the news.Delbert. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Del, I know we can not go back in time as much as we would like to, we can only move forward looking back. But, as we move on we will never forget all the wonderful memories we have. Mike and I have many great memories and we will be forever greatful for each and everyone. I can think back on the laughter and joy we had together. On the crazy things we did (lollypop) you know what I mean. The smiles when she held and played with your granddaughter and how she loved to talk about your beautiful daughter Laurieann. Know she is always with you all and wanting you to all be happy and not looking back on the pain and sorrows but, on the laughter and joy. We will always be here for you and your family, no more than a phone call away. All our Love Sue and Mike Bratten
May God's peace be with your family during this time of healing from your loss.
