This wonderful actor will be so missed. I have been able to get through many hours here and there of depression by wonderful talented actors who provide the best entertainment and best written stories to lift one up high and to be able to move on past any challenge without taking meds. I find a good walk and reflection on what it takes for actors to do what they do. I could never be in that profession but you do admire this craft and the players that come into focus even little independent films made, their own growing body of work and I think even though it is competitive profession, I do believe many actors teach other actors by sharing their own experiences and craft to fellow actors; I think older actors can see the serious minded actors coming up in the ranks. I think that is a good thing today to share your craft and be confident that each actor has it's own style and contribution to the overall industry whether you are in front oft he camera or behind the scenes. Each are individuals that stand alone. I love Mr. Garner's delivery and sense of humor. I will read his biography and enjoy it. My condolences to his family. He was a great individual that stretched his craft to many styles of acting and grew from it. His body of work will remain popular for many decades to come. In fact, I think it is time to enjoy another western series. when I look at reruns of Rawhide, The Big Valley, Gunsmoke, alot of those actors who were guests in those shows or many episodes went on to do wonderful films following and after all westerns are a big slice of American History. My favorite movie also is "Murphy's Romance." I won it. Sometimes, I am not sure if actors and actresses and behind the scene people understand how much their work and dedication heals other ordinary people's lives. I am saying thank you to actors living now and still with us and actors who have passed on. We love what you do. It is maybe 1/4 of our lives are spent enjoying this media in TV, Movies,. Radio, live theatre, all cultural media and reruns. I only wish your private lives were more private and left out of the media. It is always enlightening also to know that actors get to enjoy a full life outside of the acting world. They can marry and enjoy children and go back to college and just be private citizens like you and me that just happen to be actors/actresses that get media coverage in their professions. I would think you have to be a pretty strong person to remain an actor. Image, self doubt, temptation, intimidation and good scripts, competition and all kinds of balancing must take place to make you continue to be a sincere, strong and honest person and enjoy this chosen profession. Acting schools are abundant and thank goodness, there are many actors out there; maybe some have retired early to do other things, to develop other parts of themselves and enjoy a private life. Mr. Garner appeared to have a wonderful sense of humor and again, he will be missed but so many wonderful media projects he was a part of so, his professional legacy will endure.
