Roberto Bolanos Obituary
Known as "Chespirito," he changed comedy in Latin America, taking his inspiration from Laurel and Hardy as well as Mexico's other transcendent comedian who eventually made it to Hollywood, Cantinflas. The cause of death was not immediately announced.

Mis condolencias para la familia del señor Roberto Gómez ( el chavo ). Siempre esperaba con anhelo los lunes por la noche para ver el chavo. Siempre me hizo reír y gozar. Y todavía sigo disfrutando de sus programas. Sin embargo aunque el Señor Roberto ha muerto Dios nos ofrece una hermosa esperanza. Se encuentra en Juan 11 : 25 Jesús dijo " Yo soy la resurrección y la vida, el que ejerce fe en mi aunque muera llegará a vivir "

Nuestras más sinceras condolencias a la familia, doña Florinda. Me crié en Puerto Rico viendo el chavo y el chapulín con mis abuelos. Les enseñe a mis hijos con lo que me divertía sanamente y ellos lo gozaron. Pero creo en lo que promete Dios:
“ y tengo esperanza en cuanto a Dios, esperanza que estos mismos también abrigan, de que va a haber resurrección así de justos como de injustos.” Hechos 24:15. Espero les consuele como me consuela a mi. YM

Espero Dios les de mucho consuelo y tranquilidad en estos momentos dificiles, Dios no desea vernos sufrir de ninguna manera por lo tanto el promete que muy pronto acabara con la muerte" Ademas el promete que "Habra resureccion de Los muertos asi de Justos como de injustos"

Thank You Mr. Bolanos for bringing "Chavo del 8" and other characters to life. We discovered your characters late in life and enjoyed watching them. May your wife "Dona Florinda" find comfort in prayers and blessings sent to her, your children and great grand children. Tantas veces me hiciste reír, tantas veces hiciste reír a mi padre. Estos dias mi padre está enfermo y ya no se reí como en esos tiempos, pero siempre quedará la memoria de su sonrisa cuando miraba chespirito..gracias por tu!!!

I grew up watching Chavo Del Ocho and now having my kids which are 11 and 9 I was having them watch reruns of the show so they can enjoy what I did as a child..RIP Chespirito,Dr.Chapatin,Chompiras,Chapulin Colorado

Don Roberto, May you rest in peace. Thank you for all those years making, not only children, but entire families happy watching your shows. My children, although did not speak Spanish, grew up with your shows, and from time to time they would watch you. May the beautiful memories of loving moments with your loved ones, ease the pain of losing you.

When Channel 34 (KCET back then and now Univision) began to show your episodes, it brought memories of the 'home' we had left behind. As a child then, it meant alot. RIP.

It truly saddens me to hear about the passing of such a talented individual. He always brightened my day whenever I watched his show on tv and dvd's. I love the innocent humor in all his characters.
