A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Dakota Abling will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Lamar Christian Church with Pastor Mike Schneider of the Wiley Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Dakota will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 1:00PM to 5:00PM Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Dakota was born on January 23, 1993 at Pueblo, Colorado to Delvin R. and Marla D. (Conley) Abling and passed away on July 8, 2015 at the age of 22.
He is preceded in death by his father Delvin "Chip" Abling, brother Zachary Abling and a cousin Johnny Dailey.
Dakota is survived by his wife, Asia Ralstin-Abling; daughter, Aubree Abling both of the family home in Lamar; sons, Kyler and Korbin Nelson of Lamar; mother, Marla Abling; step-father, Robbie Batdorf of Lamar; siblings, Schuyler (April) Batdorf of Evans, CO, Samantha (Michael) Newman, Brandon Batdorf, Ashley (Mike Hernandez) Abling all of Lamar, Chelsea Thurner of Heidelberg, Germany and Taylor Mauch of Lamar. He is also survived by his grandmas, Elmina Gardner and Sandra "Granny" Barber; mother-in-law, Manda Devoter and great-grandma, Reva McCorkle all of Lamar. Numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dakota Abling Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. There is no sting that hurts harder, especially at such a young and tender age. I hope that you find comfort knowing that God is with your entire family helping to heal all who are affected and Dakota is safe in his memory. (Job 1:14,15)
