I spoke with John Dart some years ago about his experience in Halifax Nova Scotia at the time of the Halifax Explosion of December 6, 1917.
He kindly shared his memories of that event and I am now including the story in an exhibit in Halifax for the 100th anniversary of the worst disaster in Canadian history.

John was very kind and friendly towards me and my husband when we were at St Tees in the 1980's.

So sorry to see the news about the death of John Dart. I knew him as a badminton player for St. Thomas's club when I played at Wesley Sulyard Street. Also as a manager at Storeys White Cross where I worked all my life.
