I never met Larry Siegfried, only watched him as a young boy from Illinois.
I became an Ohio State fan watching that group of outstanding players. He was not only a great player but as I hear more stories, an outstanding human being. Obviously, Coach Taylor's lessons were taken to heart by Larry and the rest is history. God bless you Larry Siegfried. I hope to meet you some day in heaven.

I met Larry in the Summer of 1971.He was working at a basketball clinic at Oxbow High School in Bradford,VT.One evening a bunch of coaches, their wives & family/ friends all went out to dinner.Larry was so sweet to sit with my parents,Thad & Lois White & myself. He took the time to visit with us & I even put his 1969 NBA Championship ring on my finger.Never in my life did I think it would be that heavy. My father was amazed at the size of it!Larry was so gracious & gave me a ride home that night,as I think I may have had too much to drink. He delivered me safely to my parents house.A couple of years later,Larry was back to run the basketball clinic.I met his wife once.I believe she was expecting their fist child. They were staying at "The Garden" in Bradford,VT. & I was waitressing.Again, so nice to take the time to chat & ask about my parents.Such a down to earth man.I will always cherish those memories, & over the years have told many people how great Larry was with all the youth at those clinics. My heart goes out to Larry's family. With deepest Sympathy,Konni White-Stys & Family,Dracut,MA.
