When you lose someone, especially someone way too soon, there really are no adequate words to express the sorrow and remorse that comes with having to say goodbye to that person. Although I never had the pleasure or priviledge to meet Amanda "the Panda", I have had the extreme priviledge and pleasure of calling Sylvia a friend. Hearing Sylvia remember and talk about Amanda, you can just know that Amanda, too, had the same beauty and grace that her aunt possesses. She truly was a remarkable young woman by the love expressed by all of her family and friends. She is a true testament to the fact that, although she is no longer physically with us in this life, her memory, spirit, and very essence lives on in the lives of those she left behind. She touched so many for being so young, and that is such a rare gift. I thank God for the assurance the He gave us, and that one day, we will all be reunited with those we have had to say goodbye to for now, but not forever. I love you Sylvia, and my heartfelt condolensces go out to you and your family during this difficult time. You all will be in my prayers.

Though I never met sweet Amanda, I feel as though I know her from all the stories my dear friend, her Aunt Sylvia, has told me. She was the light of Sylvia's life and everything she told me allowed me to see what a light Amanda was. Rest in knowing that she is God's special child whom he has called home and cherish the memories of the time God put her in your care. From what I know of the whole Varela family,God entrusted her to a very special family and both the family and Amanda were blessed to have each other. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.I wish you Peace in knowing she is not far away and will greet you with her beautiful smile when you are reunited in heaven.

Amanda, I know you only through your Aunt Sil's wonderful stories, although I feel that I have known you forever. You are so special to our Heavenly Father that you have been called home to him. You will have so much work to do in the Spirit World, fulfilling your mission in a special place, spreading the doctrine to those ready to listen. You have been called to serve in the heavens, and will be the best missionary there! We love you Sister Amanda Varela

"Grieving is a journey that teaches us how to love in a new way now that our loved one is no longer with us. Consciously remembering those who have died is the key that opens the hearts, that allows us to love them in new ways." ...I so sorry for your loss...God Bless your Hearts..!
