I always remember Charlie's hearty laugh. He is a good friend and caring Asian in USA issues. A generous fellow. Our condolences to Maureen, Michael, Angie, and Kathy and the family.

Humanity has lost a vibrant soul. Charlie was a wonderful citizen of the planet. His technical background never interfered his humanitarian approach to problem solving.

Very very sad to learn Charlie Sie suddenly left us. I was meeting him one week before and he even invited me for a lunch together last week. I felt that I couldn't even breathe when I was told the shocking news by Maureen. Still do not want to believe he has left us. Charlie Sie, you are forever living in my heart!

A deep loss for so many of us. I worked with Charlie at Xerox for many years and continued our friendship after we left the company. All who knew him professionally had great respect for him as the consummate engineer. But for me, it was his passion, humor and exuberance that most enriched my life. Maureen and family, know how much goodness and joy Charlie gave to all who knew him.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived: Charlies's passion for science and technology, and his generiocity to help people will keep him in our memories forever. We will miss you, Charlie. RIP!

Charlie had always been a great mentor and advisor to the very end. Most recently, he graciously accepted our invitation and delivered an inspiring and well-received opening keynote speech, A life of Learning and Surviving in Corporate America, with a full-house audience at the inaugural CESASC LEAP Career Development Forum at UCLA on February 23. (http://www.leapcareer.org/speakers/charlie-sie). He shared frankly his personal journey as a successful Chinese American, advocated energetically CESASC and importance of community dedication to all the audience, and garnered immediately many young followers on the spot. After the event, he called me on February 26 to express his strong encouragement, constructive suggestions, and insightful outlook on the LEAP future.

Charlie set a prominent example for all Chinese Americans, humble yet courageous, smart yet diligent, passionate and caring. His passing away has been a terrible and unexpected loss to Chinese American community. He will be missed. My sincerest condolence goes to Maureen and the family.

I had the great pleasure and privilege to work for Charlie at Xerox in Rochester. His energy and enthusiasm were infectious, and he was dedicated to the company and the people who worked for him. “I'm from Missouri,” he used to tell me, i.e., show me what you can do. His challenges to us made working for him an exciting time in which we accomplished a lot. What a great leader!

Charlie instantly enriched all who met him. His unmatched talent, enthusiasm, and energy were perfected by his kindness and quest to be even better each day. No goal was too high; no obstacle too great for Charlie. He lead by an example of greatness through humility. No doubt he honors God in Heaven now as he did when we were blessed to have him with us. Thanks for sharing your wonderful gifts so generously, Charlie. I look forward to sharing many more adventures together with you in paradise.
