As a Pacific Northern employee I believe I was the first to be promoted to management with Western Airlines and the interview in LAX was with Jack. In later years in Alaska he was the strong supportive leader we all needed. We all felt that way. He was the greatest leader I ever knew.

I was Station Mgr. for Western Air Lines in various stations working under Jack's supervision for many years. I couldn't have asked for a nicer most fair & inteligent boss.
He will be missed by many fellow employees.

Dear Rosemary,
Jack was my boss for a number of years and I truly adored him and felt honored to be on his team. He was compassionate yet firm; loyal, wise and truly engaged everyone. I have thought about him many times over the years, the conversations we used to have about his family and you in particular. We have lost a loving, kind and gentle soul. His Manager of Training and Development, Juanita LeFevre Sharpe.

Dear Rosemary and Family: You and Jack were dear friends for many years, both at Western and is many social events. Under Phil Pearce, Jack and I split the territory in Western, he in service, me in sales. We covered most of WAL system, often together. A wonderful, Practical, abd intelligent man, he loved Rosemary, his family and Western Airlines. Not many of the old guard left, but Jack was truly one of the greatest. We'll miss him.Love to all.... Bamps was the most amazing person. Not only was he an incredible person, he was the greatest grandfather any kid could ever have. I am blessed to have had him in my life, not to mention sharing a birthday with him for 41 years. That day will never be the same, but I can promise that I will still sing happy birthday to the heavens where he is playing golf again. I love you Bamps. Thank you for being the person I can only dream of being.
