Just heard through the grapevine about Richard. So sorry to hear! He was such a nice man and I enjoyed talking to him about our Production Accountant roles at Fox. All my best to his wife Susan as well. My condolences to your family.

The sad news that Dick, as we called him in school, has passed on came as an enormous shock, particularly because he always seemed to be the personification of life and liveliness to all who knew him.

Dick was friendly, kind and fair to everyone, intelligent, talented and humorous---a natural, spontaneous entertainer and a cherished friend.
I can't recall ever having heard a harsh word uttered by him about another person or by anyone else about him; he seemed universally liked and his presence always welcome.

May the Lorenzana family and his many friends find the strength and courage to cope with their terrible loss and somehow find comfort in their memories of the many happy moments they shared with him.

With deeply felt condolences,
Barbara Frische

I was part of the neighborhood 'Delano Gang'. Dick was half a year ahead of me in school, nevertheless we were good friends all through Rhoda Street School, Sequoia Junior High, and RHS.

In addiltion to the Delano Gang, Dick and I, along with several other close friends, were part of 'Oskie's Gang.' That is, we all worked at Oskie's Hanburgers in Encino (gone now, but adjacient to Auto Steigler Mercedes Benz) during high school. At Oskie's, our pmrimary function was not to sell burgers, but to play poker in the back room and only serve customers as necessary. Lord, did we have fun -- and Dick was just about the best player of the gang. Those were great times.

The things I remember most about Dick is that he had a great sense of humor and a 'wonderful presence.' Even in those mixed up teenage years, he was always confortable with who he was.

The last time I saw Dick was in 1964 0r 65 at a poker game at my apartment (I believe I still owe him $10 -- in 1965 dollars). My condolences to his family -- he was wonderful person and a good friend.

I last saw Richard when he was still "Dick" Lorenzana. Our friendship deepened through High School with many wonderful and hysterical moments. We were Yell Leaders together and always found ways to get in a little trouble along the way.

After Reseda High we were in the National Guard, and then, as happens too often, we drifted into different worlds.

I will always remember him fondly, am deeply saddened by his passing, and send my sincere condolences to his wife and family.
