He was an amazing person. He loved his students and he is the reason I became a teacher. He and his wife where unique and wonderful giving us, his students, a rich insight to how we could make a difference in the lives of others. They loved life and he will be missed. God Bless your family.

All time favorite teacher. I'll never forget you, Mr. Halperin.

I would like to borrow a quote from Bill Pope..."Mr. Halperin was the only teacher we knew that could control a class with his eyebrow." Forever in our hearts...

Dr. Halperin, you gave me something so precious, and valuable. You gave me a beautiful singing voice. Through your teaching and great patience you worked with me for three years, and I finally got that diaphragm to do what it was supposed to do. I was on a whale watching boat and everybody was at the back of the boat, but I was up in the bow, alone, and singing in that high soprano voice you gave me. I looked down in the water and there was a grey whale along the side of the ship looking up at me. I continued to sing all the while keeping eye contact with the whale as he swam along the side of the boat. This lasted for about three whole mins, before the crew noticed the whale. The crew called everybody to the bow of the boat and I left for the aft. When I left, the whale swam away. It is an experience I will never forget. That cultured voice you instilled in me called a whale to my side, and it stayed there as long as I sung to it. Thank you Dr. Halperin for all the joy and happiness I had when I had That voice you taught me. Lorilyn K. Lachman
