Not sure what to say?

Carol,
I was a newcomer at SCAN (tiny goldfish coming into a huge aquarium full of big fishes and quite a few 'sharks'...needless to say. I felt very intimidated and would be eaten alive!). You were involuntarily assigned to train me; to be your protege. 6 years that I worked with you and you never ceased to change your attitude and presence of being a compassionate friend, coworker, and patient advocate.
When I felt fear and axiety coming over me (during rounds with MDs), you always said to me, "You can do it, Kiddo (bump elbow and wink)" You sat beside me always and didn't allow anyone to attack me.
If there is one legacy you will leave behind, is that you were unselfish with your time and knowledge.
I will forever remember you, Carol!

I remember Carol as having the gift of encouragement. She always remembered a birthday or special day with a little gift and card. When someone seemed to be having a tough day at work she'd peek her head in and say she appreciated you. She always had a smile and a kind word. What a lovely lady.

This passing weighs so very heavy on my heart. Carol and I shared the gift of friendship steming back to 1999. My husband Sergio and I were blessed to have been welcomed into their home and into their family. We attended her Fourth of July Celebrations which were always the best on the block. Our family also shares the love of sports and we spent Super_Bowl_XXXVIII together with Carol,Karen and family as we watched NE take the win over the Car 32/29. Nothing but great memories with one of the most influentical woman in my life. So much so, that we adopted our own daughter out of foster care, the life she saved her grandsons from. Life with her was filled with Laughter and Love and WE WILL MISS HER ALWAYS. Prayers of Peace and comfort to the entire family during this difficult time. We LOVE You

On behalf of the Longtin family back in Maine, we wish to express our deepest sympathies to Karen and to Carol's children and grandchildren. We remember Carol as a fun loving child who loved to make us all laugh at the very funny faces she could make. She was very energetic, had a quick wit, and a contagious laugh. We will all miss her very much.

I worked with Carol. She was a kind, funny, smart and sensitive woman. She came to my grandson's memorial when he died at 16, just a year and a half ago. I am stunned and saddened by her passing. My heart goes out to her sons and partner. I will be there, at the Memorial, just as she was for me at Christian's Memorial. Carol, I love you and will miss you, very much!
