I just looked this family up for my client Doris Wilder whom is the wife of the late Vernon Wilder. She wanted to send her condolences to Kolstad family. I am Mrs Wilders live in caregiver and have tried to contact a few of her California friends so she could touch base, and do a little catching up. Mrs Wilder thought alot of this family , and i can see why.....even just reading her obituary made me want to know Micky......sent with love and rememberance Doris Wilder and Heather Sawyer

I met The Kolstads in 1968 when my family moved to Lakewood. I found true friendship throughout the years lasting nearly 48 years. When my parents sold our home I moved into the Kolstads home for about 2 weeks to finish out high school. Steve was in Viet Nam, Susan was married. Mike and I shared a room and Jennie had a room and then there was also uncle Ed in yet another room. Al and Mickie were compassionate friends and loved our Father very much. I viewed them like a second set of parents, Always staying in contact over the years. Heck, Mike was even my Best Man at my wedding. To say I loved them is an understatment.Al met my girlfriend and said "she's a keeper!" He was right. 42 years and counting. I will miss my visits with Al and Mickie and the reminiscing but will never forget them. They are now in heaven with our creator and there they shall dwell forever. I hope we will meet again my dearest friends.

Mickie was such a lovely lady. She was so thoughtful and kind. We were blessed to be her neighbor for the last 17 years. We hope her family finds peace knowing she is in heaven with our Savior and with her loving husband. We will miss her.
With love,
Tom, Holly, Cody and Kelly McKittrick
