My condolences to Judee and his daughters. Wally taught at Mt. San Jacinto College's Political Science Department and I knew him and his political views very well. He was one of my colleagues whom I came to respect for his integrity and honesty in most critical issues of our time. Taking time and deliberating on matters of importance did certainly come from taking his votes very seriously. I will miss him, he is way up there among those whose memory I will cherish for ever. Rest in peace my esteemed colleague and friend.

I'm so sad to hear about Wallace! I didn't know about Wallace, as I live in Utah. I wrote a book The Twenty Eight about both of our families being involved in the 1959 Yellowstone earthquake. He lost his parents and I lost my mother. I'm so sad he didn't get to read the finished book. I will send it to your family Wallace! I'm glad you are free from pain and that you have been reunited with your best friends"Your Mother and Dad" You may have met the people I wrote about in the book. Hopefully you are having a wonderful reunion with them all. Love to you, Anita Painter Thon For his daughters my phone is 801-458-6096.

I knew Wally at Compton College '54-'55, where he was "little brother" to my then-to-be husband, Bob Elders, in Alpha Sigma Chi fraternity. Wally remeained a friend over the years. Bob and I were active in his early City Council campaigns. My thoughts are with his gracious wife, Judee.

Sorry to hear of this loss. I volunteered in Wally's congressional campaign of 1974 and always found him to be a caring, dedicated and fair public servant. My condolences to all in the family.
