Grace Anne Zamarripa, 53, born in Milwaukee, Wis., Jan. 3, 1960, passed away Feb. 1, 2013 in Las Cruces, N.M., with her loving husband of 31 years, Gabriel, her granddaughter Tristan Amerie, her two children, Gabrielle and Christopher, as well as her dogs Sadie and Maggie all by her side. Grace was a daughter to Jose and Esperanza Mendez and a sister to Art, Sandra and James. Grace honored this country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy in May 1979 until February 1981. She spent more recent days watching cooking shows, planning what her next cookie to make would be, playing games or searching for new thing on her iPad and just enjoyed life, talking and laughing with all her family and friends. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend that will be truly loved and missed by many.
