Leslie was a wonderful and generous friend to me and my husband, Daniel Zolinsky, as well as being spirit kin to my sister Faride Chávez Conway. We all loved her wild, generous heart, her energy and verve, her intelligence and knowledge of the world. Like you, no other! We will miss you, Hermana.

I just realized that I hadn't added my name to my entry of January 15th.

I am saddened to hear about Leslie's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing her in Ann Arbor in the early '70s. I carved a kangaroo-handled cane for her when she broke her femur after being bounced off her bicycle by a drunk driver. I regret that we lost touch after I left town in 1972; I have have always remembered her fondly and wondered how and where she was. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I was very saddened by the passing of Leslie last year. I worked with her and Stuart at NMSU. Both had so much to offer but were taken too early. God needed them more than those left her on earth. Bless you both and you will be missed!
