I had the privilege of having Mrs. Townsend as an instructor at NMSU-A in the late 80's. She introduced me to Garrison Keillor - I'll never forget that because I then introduced him to my Dad who enjoyed the radio personality too. May you and your family find strength and joy in knowing how many lives Mrs. Townsend touched through her teaching profession. Please accept my sincere condolences and may God bless each of you with strength in knowing she is at peace with our Lord.

My deepest and sincere sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one. Please find peace and comfort in Psalms 65:2. Again my deepest sympathy.

To Mr Townsend the world has lost a beautiful and caring lady we have always remembered you and her from the NMSU-alamogordo campus. We both continued our education because of your concern for your students. We will always cherish our memories of our contact with you and Mrs Townsend. May god bless you and your family

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mrs. Linnie Townsend. She was a very special lady. She was my English professor when I started school after our move to Alamogordo. She was kind and very patient to me, one of her numerous non-traditional student. She will be missed.
