Zayda Mahlyia Saavedra, infant daughter of Jesse Gonzales and Angela Saavedra went to heaven to be an angel on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. Besides her parents, Baby Zayda is survived by three sisters, Destiny and Adrynne Saavedra, and Hope Gonzales; her maternal grandparents, Henry and Irene Saavedra; paternal grandmother, Gloria Hendrix; paternal great grandmother, Josie Jemente as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Zoriah Saavedra; her uncle, Gabriel Henry "Uncle Bur" Saavedra; maternal great-grandparents, Enrique and Rosa Saavedra, Mike and Cecilia Lujan. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Cemetery with Rev. Ricardo Bauza officiating. Entrusted to Baca's Funeral Chapels of Las Cruces. 527-2222.
