I was very sad to read of Gene's passing. I grew up on Railroad Street in Annville, next to Helen and Clarence Foltz, and, along with Sue and Jane Foltz, always called him Uncle Gene. I knew that Gene was always at the top of the hill in his signature hat. I remember horse shows in the ring by the railroad tracks, trips to the Horse Show in Harrisburg, and sledding on the biggest hill ever. Gene always welcomed everyone and was generous in sharing his time and his talent. He was truly an Annville treasure. He will be missed. My prayers are with the whole family.
