I grew up next to the Hummel family, and many years later, bought their home. I know it was very difficult for Franny to move, and occasionally I'd find things she left in the mailbox, small items she "forgot" to leave behind or thought we could use. But she never came to the door; I think she was afraid to see how it may have changed. Even now, nearly 17 years later, we'll sometimes find a receipt or note she tucked away, in case we'd need the information. My family and I speak of her often, and will always remember her warmly. Her memory will live in our house as long as we do. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families, Susan & Gary.
