I had the pleasure of meeting Joe when I joined Cleona Fire Company. He was kind and patient. He knew so many things about not only firefighting, but life as well. If you wanted the job done, Joe was the person to ask. I always admired Joe's ability to look at the fire, and then fearlessly attack it. If one could pick a firefighter who was respected, loved, and could be counted on, it would be Joe. I am going to miss the stories Joe told about his family and firefighting. I am going to miss Joe. May the family continue to find peace knowing how highly people thought about this heroic person. Thank you for everything, Joe. The world is a better place because of you.
