Dear Van, I believe with all my heart that you were an angel sent by God to us here on earth as you brought so much beauty and light to the world during such dark and troubling times. You earned your wings - now fly!! Thank you for playing my encore requests, especially "Widmung." No one will ever play that as beautifully as you. I cherish the note you wrote for me in Huntsville in '98 - I am looking at it now. I will never forget your kindness. You were so very, very special. I will love you always.
