JOANNA JEANNE REILEY (nee Rook)
Jeanne, late of Regina, SK, passed away suddenly on Tuesday March 11, 2014
at 80 years of age. Predeceased by her parents, Warren and Alfreda Rook, Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Stuart; son Mike (Tamara) Reiley
of Vernon, BC; daughter Jackie of Whitehorse, YK; sister Marina Davis of Moose Jaw, SK; brother Don (Debbie) Rook of Kamsack SK; brother Dennis (Linda) Rook of Chilliwack, BC; and brother Gordon Rook of Lashburn, SK.
In mid-life Jeanne decided it was time
for a change in careers so she entered university life with plans of becoming a teacher. She graduated just after her fortieth birthday and embarked on a new career as a teacher. Jeanne taught for
over 20 years in the Regina school system with most of her years spent at Thomson School. Not understanding that retirement was meant for relaxing, Jeanne promptly joined a number of groups to keep both her and Stuart busy. She was a tireless worker and spent numerous hours with the Victoria Care Home, the Rotary Club, the Canadian Club, the Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan Regina Chapter, and her favourite, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Mike, Jackie, Tamara, Jeanne and Stuart were blessed to enjoy a late Christmas celebration in
the Okanagan in March, which provided
all with many fond memories. Funeral Service will take place at Westminster United Church, 3025 13th Avenue, Regina, SK, on Tuesday March 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memory of Jeanne, to the Regina Rotary Club Community Fund, Box 164, Regina, SK, S4P 2Z6, or any other
charity of their choice. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.speersfuneralchapel.com

Dear Stu, I was so sorry to hear about Jeannie. She was such an active, energetic, and thoughtful soul. I hope it helps you and your family, in some small way, to know how many of us are thinking of you. May her love live on forever in your hearts. Judy Behrns

To all the Reiley family , I'm so truly sorry to hear the loss of Jeanne. I was one of her students along with my brother and sister at Thomson School. She was truly a very special lady, and will be so very very missed. Jean will hold as special place in my heart , and will not be forgotten . Please take some comfort in knowing you have a very special angel who will watch over you all. When you feel a gentle kiss go across your check you will know she is always with you all.

To all the Reiley family -
In the days and weeks that follow,
Perhaps you'll often find
That even long-lost memories
Will slip into your mind,
And suddenly your loved one
Won't seem so far from you…
You'll think of touching stories,
The things you used to do,
And favorite family moments
In which you both took part –
These souvenirs of happy times
Will keep you close in heart
With deepest sympathy
many fond memories from Thomson School Days!
