To Jill's family

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jill's death. We worked together from time to time back in the day when I worked for Social Services. I appreciated her compassion, commitment to clients and to justice. Plus we always had a good laugh or two.

Jill is in some of my favourite memories. Know that the mark she left is a great one and because of this, she will never really be gone. My deepest condolences to Shana and Bev, Steven and Debbie during this dark time. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you you ever need a shoulder to lean on.

Jill and I went to University together, and our paths crossed from time to time as social workers, with a shared clientele. It was this past August that tragedy and a random attack against a family member put us back in contact. The hug I got from Jill when my son and I went to see her was the most welcoming thing in the world. To have a friend be there made a world of difference. We always laughed about sharing the same name and our love for the work we did and the people we served. Jill was stilling giving me updates from court 2 weeks ago. She was always worried about how I and my son were, I wish I had been able to have one last hug, and to say good-bye. Jill you will always be my rock, my condolences to the family.

Jill you brought such joy and hope to so many people. Jay remembers growing up with you and I, I will always hear that wonderful laugh of yours. Every time we crossed paths I would say, I love that girl. Yes, it is true, you are and will always be loved.

Our deepest sympathy to Jill's Family. Shana I hope you remember us ( we ran the service station in Strasbourg that you, your Mom and Vern would stop in to.) Your Mom was an amazing person and friend, we loved her to the bottom of our hearts. I can still feel the hug I got the last time I saw her. She was the special kind of person that you never forget, she left a feeling in your soul that felt wonderful and we are better people just for knowing her.The world will be an emptier place without her. I am sure she is looking down on you all as she sits on her horse with Vern right beside her holding hands. Special people are never forgotten.

So saddened at this news. Jill was a friend when we were young and a lifelong friend to so many. Her wonderfully written goodbye makes me feel like I am standing beside her. I can hear her laugh. Such an amazing person. So, so sad for her loving family.
