I thought about Shane this morning when a song came on the radio. It was a song we did for an air band in elementary school. For some reason that's one of my most vivid memories of Shane. I remember rehearsing that air band at his parents' place. We lost touch after elementary school but in hearing that song this morning I wanted to reconnect. Seeing that Shane passed away a year ago is heartbreaking. He was such a kind hearted, funny guy. Always made me laugh. My deepest condolences to his family. RIP Shane

So sorry to hear of Shane's passing. Thinking about you during this difficult time - I certainly remember his joking and laughing, especially when I went on class trips! He was always joking around as a kid and having fun on his bike and that's how I remember him best - - smiling little guy! I'm so sorry you are going through this - from one parent to another. Rest In Peace Shane.

I've known shane throughout my elementary school years, he was always the one up for a good time, he brought so much energy into the classroom, we would always joke around, he would always make me laugh. Grade 8, he was the class character! Never took anything seriously! He needed to be heard in any situation! He made our classrooms song You got what I need You say you're just a friend We cranked that song daily in gr.8! I have so many memories of Shane! He was a great guy, his smile really stood out and his personality was one of a kind! May he rest easy!!

My heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to you, Sandy, Stew and Amanda during this devastating time. I was Shane's teacher in grade 5 when he was just a ten year old little boy exploring the world with that twinkle in his eye. He captured my heart with his humour and I was fortunate to teach him as he was able to teach me about patience and understanding. Rest In Peace, Shane, and fly with those Angels.
With a heavy heart, I send all of you my condolences.
