We knew Dr Muthu for a little while in the early 1990s in connection with his concern for peace in our world. At this time we too wish a little comfort and warmth to his family and colleagues who I am sure are justly content and proud of the upstanding and caring life that he lived.

Ernest, Joshua and I are so blessed to have known Muthu uncle and we miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jeya aunty, and the entire family. Our sincerest condolences.

My condolences to the entire family, and extra hugs to my University friend Uma! Uma spoke very lovingly of her family, and Dr. Muthu's reputation was very well regarded. Uma, I pray you find comfort in cherished memories. I hope to see you again in our travels.

My condolences to Jeya and family. I first met Muthu 44 years ago as a student and later worked with him when served as Dean of the Faculty. I valued his wise and gentle advice which was always followed by a wink, a nod and a smile. I will be out of the country during the celebration of his life, but I will take time that day to reflect on his life and many contributions.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, colleague and friend. I had the privilege and pleasure of being a colleague at the UofR for a few year, and always valued his opinions, friendship and mentorship.
