Phenix City, AL- Elizabeth Greer, 79, of Phenix City, AL, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, April 22, 2013, at the Columbus Hospice House.
A celebration in honor of her life will be held at 11:00 am EST, on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Reverend Brett Sanders and Reverend Wayne Prickett officiating. Interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born on July 23, 1933, in Milan, GA, the daughter of George and Mary McLean. She retired after 36 years as a bakery Inspector for Sunshine Biscuit and was a member of Weems Road Freewill Baptist Church.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Coggins.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wesley Vance of Phenix City; 5 children, Tony Watford of Birmingham, AL, Kathy Robbins of Smiths Station, Ricky Watford and wife Sherry of Johnson City, TN, Gina Wangle and husband Randy of Salem, AL and Liz Madan of Buford, GA; sister, Juanita Bowens of Columbus, GA; 2 brothers, Leonard McLean of Columbus, GA and Fred McLean of Atlanta, GA; 4 grandchildren, Cassie Godfrey and husband Jeffrey, Sean Morris, Daniel Duff and Justin Duff; much extended family and many caring friends.
