Marilyn was a wonderful example of love and kindness. Rest assured friends, Marilyn is in the presence of The Lord God her Savior. I am proud to say she was my friend and I KNOW that I will see her again when my race has been run.
Higher Calling I.T.
I'm so surprised to hear of Marilyn's passing. She was definitely larger than life. I'd usually call Marilyn when I was in Atlanta and no matter what she was doing, she would always drop everything and come get me for dinner. She was such a great person and "friend" May she RIP. Marilyn, this is just a temporary separation, we will all be reunited soon. I love you.
One of a kind to be sure. I hate to think that I'll never see her again. At least not in this life. To her family, I'm sincerely sorry for your loss.
What a surprise to run into Marilyn in NYC during a Joyce Gold West Village & Waterfront Park Tour in 2006. She had been in a marathon that morning and had on her running clothes and a baseball hat. Didn't matter, after the tour, she took us to this old, quaint little NY bar & deli where they had yellow labs lying on the wooden floors. We loved seeing her and walking NY streets & taking pictures with her the entire afternoon. She was special and remembered with love and a smile. Rest in Peace CHS/UGA friend, our sympathy & prayers to the family, Beth and Luther Stanton, Columbus, GA
Marilyn was one of my very, very special childhood friends on Lockwood Avenue. I always enjoyed her enthusiasm for life and loved her family. I will miss her.
Marilyn, you will be missed by so many people! What fun we had at CHS...Never a dull moment in Miss Renfroes gym class! My condolences to Marilyn's family and friends.
Marilyn was indeed a true friend at CHS and my prayers/thoughts are forwarded.
Marilyn was indeed a larger than life person. Once you met her, you would never forget her. Most may not know, but she was responsible for having Ga. Highway 48 out of Summerville, Ga. going toward Cloudland, Ga. named the Juliette Gordon Low Highway, and was responsible for the directional signs to Camp Juliette Low. I will miss her.
