I was stunned and saddened to read in Palm Springs that Fr. Mascherino died. We were the best of friends in the seminary and saddly lost contact over the years, speaking briefly perhaps once a year. Alphonse was the most talented, energetic, intelligent, passionate, gifted human being I have ever knew. I'm sure he is stirring things up in heaven already. Cheers! Fr. Robert Johnston
