Seems not many American icons are left. Thank you General for you service to our country, and I hope your family finds peace. I just lost my father of 85 years on Christmas morning; another great man and veteran.

I never new the General. Only today did I see he had passed. I had the deepest respect for his ethics and morality, both in war + peace. A truly great hero has been lost to us all. May the family + friends of this great man find some small peace in knowing how greatly he was valued + viewd by the public.
