While cleaning out some old papers preparing for a move, I discovered a card from Karyn and decided to "google" her to see where she was. I was shocked and saddened to see her obituary. Karyn babysat our children while a student at UC Davis and continued to occasionally babysit after she became a veterinarian and worked in Davis. She also cared for our pets as a veterinarian. She was a wonderful friend to our children, our pets, and ourselves. We are so sorry for the loss to all. We will remember her always.
Goodbye to the best Vet on earth and the most wonderful person who loved animals to no end. I loved her very much. I will never find another like her. Bless her family in this time of sorrow, and I'm so sorry this entry is so late, but I just found out! I'm so sorry......
I am just now hearing about Karyn. she was wonderful...she took care of jolly roger ,bingo & skipper too, and max....she was such a beautiful and wonderful lady....wow, i am shocked to hear and read that she passed on my birthday last year....we truly have lost a woman with a heart of gold....
I am one of those who didn't know of Dr. McCulloch's passing but asked about her today in her office. I was shocked like everyone else, and very sad. She was a GREAT Vet and it will be hard to find another. I remember the first visit with my little dog and Dr. McCulloch got down on the floor and talked to her and pet her. What a wonderful person. I bet she runs a big playground at the Rainbow Bridge. So sorry for her family. God Bless.
Dr. Karen will always bring remembered in our family.
I am so sad to hear of Karyn's passing. We were sorority sisters at UC Davis and I remember her as happy, caring and determined to become a vet. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her and miss her.
I was just told that Dr. Mcculloch has passed and i am so sadded in my heart. I drive from sacramento to see her and i thought she was one of the best vets ive ever got to meet. She got to meet my boy Shar Pei Takoda and she thought he was a nice boy. Takoda relly liked her. My heart just sank when i found this out today. I called to make an appt with her. My prayers go out to all who loved her and knew her. She was such a wonderful dr. I dont know if i will ever be able to find anyone like her again. I thought she was so special. We will miss you Dr. Mcculloch and your beautfiul smile.
So sorry to hear about Karyn. She has cared for for many, many of our dogs over the years with love and compassion. A wonderful person, and such a great loss for all of us.
I just found out about Dr. Mcculloch's passing. She was a great Vet. Always took her time and made my animals feel comfortable. She was a true animal lover and it showed in her work. I am sure her work continues in heaven. My boys will miss you.
I just found out today taking one of my 4 cats to get her caught up on her shots and asked about Dr McCulloch not being aware of heir passing. I was shocked and most sad to here she has passed. She was an amazing Dr. who always took her time examining my pets and showing us pictures of her fur babies and how proud she was of them and their accomplishment 's.. I loved her for being such a warm and loving person and caring for my pets as if they were her own. I'm truly sorry for her family and I heard her Mom has her dogs and know in my heart she is smiling down from above knowing they are loved and cared for..Rest in Peace Dr.till we meat again where no animals will ever be sick or hurt again!!!
I just learned of Dr. Mcculloch's passing today. I cuddled my doxie as I welled up in tears sitting in the waiting room of the vet office today. She took care of my fur-babies since they were puppies and she is the only one I trusted with them. She always knew exactly what was wrong and what they needed. My heart goes out to her family and to her fur-babies for their loss. She is the best and nobody will be able to fill her shoes. I am blessed to have known her and have her expertise for my little ones. The world had lost a dear friend but heaven gained an angel.

I don't know how I will feel about going to the office now that she is gone. Lavon, did they put a photo of Dr. McCulloch in the reception lobby? Do that have any memory of her displayed? I hope so.
Went into the Vets office yesterday to pick up some pills for our doggies, seemed so strange know that Karen will not be there anymore. It was a cold lonely feeling in that place. We miss you Karen.

I haven't been in the office for years, since the passing of my cat Oliver 6 yrs ago. We now have a puppy so vet trips are going to part of our lives again & I was so excited to see Dr. McCaulloch today! I Couldn't wait for her to meet my 2 younger boys since I only had the one son (who loved her!) the last time I saw her. So when a different dr. came in, I told him we were waiting for Dr. McCulloch. I was shocked when I was told she had passed away! I couldn't even foucus on the the rest of the appointment after that! I looked up to her & respected her so much. I wanted so badly growing up to be a vet. I got to know her very well in the years that my cat Oliver was her patient. He was diabetic & toward the end he was spending days & nights there quite often. When I'd go to see him, the dr was always there for us, no matter what time! She'd always return my calls & never made any question feel silly to ask. I will miss her so much and I'll tell you that the new Dr has some pretty big shoes to fill ! I sure bet Owen was peeing his pants when he saw his mommy cross over Rainbow Bridge! Far too early for her to be gone, but wow! How many happy animals have greeted her?! Dr. McCulloch, will you please give Oliver the biggest hug & kiss from me & Seth? We still miss him terribly & we'll be forever grateful for all that you did for him?
I am so saddened to hear of Dr. McCulloch's passing. She has been such a wonderful Dr. and friend to our family and all our dogs, Lacey, Pierre, Dusty, and Tiffany. She will be so sorely missed. Thank you Dr. for all you have done for us. The Barnes
Wow....We recently moved to Modesto from Lodi, so just called Cherokee Vet to get our dogs' records & got this sad news. My family & all of my dogs (6 over the years) loved Dr. Karyn...she was so kind & compassionate, a beautiful person.
My thoughts & prayers go out to her family & her loved ones at Cherokee Veterinary Hospital, especially Marilyn.
With deepest sympathies,
Suzan, Jeff, Jeff, Jr., & our dogs, Bambi, Lizzie & Missy & Tank Sendbo
I was so saddened to hear about Karyn. I worked with her in Elk Grove and was there when she got Owen her future champ when he was a puppy with a broken leg whose owners no longer wanted him but Karyn did.My condolences to her family. Even when it was months between our contacts, when I spoke with her, it was like it was only days. The world is a little dimmer because she is gone
Relatively new to Cherokee Veterinary, I started bringing our dogs there after helping our daughter, Liz, bring her lab pups in for their puppy shots, etc. I saw in her a level of caring and affection in animals and their owners that is very rare. We also enjoy boarding our Heidi & Lily there, while on vacation, because she and her staff really treat them like their own and we don't worry about them while were gone. They were, in fact, there that same week and we were so shocked and saddened to hear of sweet Dr. Karyn's untimely death when we got back. We feel a great loss and our sincere condolences go out to her mother, family, friends and fellow staff at Cherokee Vet.
All of us at Animal Friends Connection Humane Society are saddened by your loss. You helped so many of our animals and were always willing to squeeze in one more at the last minute. You treated many of our homeless cats and dogs but the most memorable one was Hopey. You spent a lot of time and love caring for her through her long recovery. You will be missed by many, our hearts go out to your human and animal family. Patricia Sherman, President Animal Friends Connection
We were stunned to hear the news of Dr. Karyn's passing. She was such a lovey and kind doctor to all of our animals. Our prayers go out to her family and friends.
I was shocked to hear of Dr. Karyn's passing. She had been our veterinarian for many years. We moved out of state when she was at Elk Grove Vet clinic and when we moved back we just had to find her. Our dogs would accept no other doctor. It took a bit but we found her in Lodi. Our 2 dogs passed away and we were dogless for about a year. We have a new rescue so called to make an appt but Cherokee said she was no longer there. We weren't giving up; she was the best. I was so excited to find her on facebook and completely in shock to find out she has joined Owen, John Irving and many others over the rainbow bridge. She was an amazing person and I'm so glad we were able to know her. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
What a loving vet to each animal that she saw, cared for, and advised. Our sympathy to her family. You can read all the wonderful notes here from people and their pets that loved her !!
Our Jazmin went to her for care for the past 4 years, and was always happy to see Dr. Karyn !!
We are so saddened by the loss of Karen, a gentle spirit whom we were blessed to have in our lives as our Veterinarian. One who understood and worked so well with the sometimes anxious temperament of a Breeder of both a Giant & a Toy breed.
Understanding of the breeders' specialized needs
she was intelligent, resourceful AND easy to work with. The animals sensed & loved her calm gentle ways.
To her family & friends our deepest sympathies. Our prayers for your peace & healing at her painful loss & the grief that you all are experiencing.
We thank The Lord for her & will always miss her.

What more can I add to the awesome person Dr. McCulloch was to know. She was so truly compassionate to both her patients & their human companions. I will miss her greatly as will many others. Thank you Karyn for all the great work you provided for my animal friends. May your family be comforted by the wonderful legacy of your many works.
Glenda Maxwell, CMT
What a tremendous loss! Karyn was so kind and generous and helpful to all who needed her. And it was always a pleasure to see her run Puzzle and Taylor at WAG...with her positive nature, she made them feel like champions after every run! You will surely be missed!
You were always there for us. We will miss you very much. I know you will take good care of our pets Louie, Sophie and Romeo in heaven.
I am so very sad. Such a wonderful, warm, intelligent young woman. It was always a pleasure to see her and she loved her dogs so much. What will we do without you Karyn? I think of all the wonderful patients of yours who are greeting you so happily in heaven! You will most certainly be missed.
Karyn loved her job and my dog and cat loved her too. She will be so missed. Not many vets are like what she was----outstanding
I am so sad to hear of Karyn's passing and am in shock. A great friend in high school, we grew apart in college and went our separate ways. I knew she would be a great vet and as I read about her here, it turned out she was so much more than great. Mrs. McCulloch, I am so sorry for your loss of Karyn. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Praying for comfort for her family and friends. You were such a sweet friend and you will be missed!
I am soo.. sorry to hear of this heartbreaking news. Karyn was such a sweet person and would always go out of her way to speak with us when needed, she will be dearly missed! My prayers go out to your family and loved ones. Thank you for being their for my Maggie when she needed you! God Bless, Gina Miller, Chelsea & Brian
Karyn set the bar for vet med so high, we all will miss her, compare all future vets to her, and never forget how blessed we really were to have her. God must have needed the best in heaven...
Karyn was a wonderful person and doctor. My dogs loved her and would only go to her. When my dogs passed away she and the staff was there for me. Sad to say she is with them now, but I am sure she is happy! Rest in peace, you will be missed by many.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Karyn's family. We will miss Karyn's smiling face. She was a very kind person and I will always remember her getting down on the floor and letting my 75 lb. male Schutzhund German Shepperd crawl in her lap. She had a connection with animals and always made both the owner and pet feel comfortable.
What a tragedy that you have passed so young. You have touched the lives of many.
I never had the pleasure of knowing Karen as a person or a vet. But I have friends that have and spoke praises of her as both. My prayers and heartfelt condolences got out to her family at this time.
With many thanks, Karyn, for your compassion, patience, knowledge, sense of humor, smiles and loving care. You were so special to our family. I wish you peace and many fur friends. Our deepest sympathy to your family, especially to Puzzle and Taylor.
You were the best vet we ever met. You kindness, tenderness, and animal insight was incredible. We will never forget how well you treated our little dog Tangee when she was so sick last winter, two different times a few weeks apart. Your alarm and unwavering concern equaled our alarm and concern. You took proactive and lovingly cared of her and you saved her life, twice. You guided us in our care of her, and you helped us deal with the fear we had that we may lose her. When she recovered you rejoiced with us. Tangee is shy. She is skittish with strangers. She was never uncomfortable with you, not even on the day she met you. You were gentle with her, so calm; you whispered to her and petted her a long time before you examined her. You instinctively and instantly recognized the timid personality Tangee has. You acted like she was the most special little dog that you ever encountered. I think Tangee thought that she was your favorite dog in the whole world. Truth be told, she probably was your favorite when she was with you. All animals that you treated were probably your favorites; they were all precious to you beyond measure. We will never forget you. We will miss you always. Thank you for blessing our lives with your presence. Thank you for blessing Tangee's life with your stellar and innovate medical skills. Thank you for saving Tangee's life two times. Thank you for being our friend. We love you and we are praying for your family because losing you at such a young age and losing you so suddenly is surely a devastating loss to them. They will remain in our prayers Dr. Karyn.
Donna Pacini-Christensen, Tim Christensen, and Tangee
I've been in Lodi for 20+ years & have been a client of Cherokee Vet since my arrival & I can tell you that Dr Karyn was the best Vet I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Her compassion for all the animals is truly heartfelt. I absolutely trusted her judgement for all those hard decisions when it "was time". I've always recommended Cherokee Vet to all my friends & when Dr. Karyn joined I couldn't sing her praises loud enough - she is just that good of a person. I am so shocked by this devastating news of her passing...it's just so unreal right now. Thanks to Marilyn for introducing Karyn into my animal family. Prayers to the McCulloch family, she was an amazing Vet & a great person who will be so missed. RIP Dr Karyn...
Losing Dr. Karyn is devastating to a community of furry friends as well as their owners. She had a way of making each of her patients and their families feel special. Our Bernie is the brother to her Puzzle. It was her suggestion that we make him an addition to our family. He turned out to be one of our greatest gifts of all! We will forever be thankful for our connection with her, as well as for her dedication to caring for our dogs and cats for more than ten years. I always looked forward to seeing her beautiful smile and to hearing her proud and joyful anecdotes relating to her pets, while making ours feel like they were the center of her universe. Our pug, Luther, could never get in to see her fast enough so that he could give her lots of kisses on the lips. We will miss her so much. Our prayers are with her family and loved ones
The news of her passing, as I'm sure it was for most of us, was just so shocking. She was such a wonderful, caring and energetic person. She had been my vet for over 15 years. She was the best about caring for our pets (cats & dog) no matter what the problem was. She is such a person that you consider yourself blessed having known her. Thank you Karyn for being that kind and caring person that we all should be. God bless you and your family.
Jon & Bobbi
We are so sorry to hear of Karyn's passing, it was such a shock. We loved to see her run with Puzzle and Taylor, we thank her for her care for a couple of our dogs on the agility field, and we will miss her smile and friendliness, she was a huge part of the WAG family. She was always ready to help - even when it was the 2-legged athlete needing care - we so much appreciated all that she did. She will be sorely missed, our deepest sympathy goes to the family, may God bless and comfort you all.
Chris and Rick Anderson and the Shelties.
Karyn you were so wonderful with my animals, that anyone who met you could tell you were born to be a vet.To the family- I am so sorry for your loss. Lynn Loudon
Dr. McCulloch was a wonderful caring person. She helped us with our animals in a very loving caring way. She will be deeply missed. God Bless!
In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
When I heard, I was in shock. You will be missed truly. A wonderful vet and human being. So caring for the animals. My cats will miss her gentle touch. My condolences to the family and friends. The animals in heaven are blessed with your company.
Karyn was a truly gifted vet - we all know how she would get down there on the ground w/ our beloved pets and set them immediately at ease. She had such a heart for rescue, as well. She helped so many sick animals from shelters throughout the area get well so they could find their new families. She was unique and will never be forgotten by so many grateful animal lovers.
Karyn was so good with our Patterdale, Lacie Lynn. She would sit down on the floor and play with her to calm her down. We will miss her. God Bless
Ron Hertz & Karen Colson
You will missed dearly by all whos life you've touched. Grady Taylor and Shadow
What an incredible loss. She was an amazing person who will be missed by all who knew her, but most especially, by all the furry creatures for whom she cared so deeply. Karyn's years at Cherokee coincided with the geriatric years of 5 of our pets, so we were frequent visitors and came to know Karyn well. She was ALWAYS wonderful with all of our cats and our dog, in sickness and in health. We trusted her to advise us when treatment would be effective, and when it was time to say goodbye, she cried with us. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Heartfelt condolences to the McCulloch family.
Karyn cared for my animals for over a decade - we all loved her and will hold her in our hearts.
So sorry to hear of her passing. She was a great vet to our corgi-Abby. She will be missed a lot.
The Staggs Family, Lodi, CA
A wonderful veterinarian for our Roxy! You will be greatly missed.
Our condolences to the family. Doc Karyn was a wonderful vet and our kitties will miss her very much, as will we!
Karyn--though we know you are in a better
place--we will miss you. Sparky & Bobo.
Karyn was the most wonderful person and veterinarian my two cats, Luer and Mepps have ever had. She will be forever missed by myself and all her beloved animals.
Karyn will be sadly missed. She was so positive and was always there with a helping hand.
My condolences to Karyn's family
I am very sad and shocked to hear Karyn's passing. She was very kind and nice to everyone at agility trials. I still have the jacket that she gave to me for my dog Belle because it became too small for her Boston Terrier. She will be greatly missed.
I just learned of the passing of our beloved vet. She was the sweetest, most patient and loving person to all our four legged friends. Our pets would be so nervous walking into Cherokee Vet. But as soon as they saw her, you could see them exhale, wag their tale and pant. :) We will miss you Doc. You were one of a kind.
Karyn, you will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences.
I am so saddened to hear of Karyn's passing. She and Leanne and I were constant companions during our summer months when were very young. My heart goes out to the family.
I am in complete shock and my heart is broken at the loss of Dr. McCulloch, one of the most kindhearted, dedicated, and compassionate people I knew. Our family has been going to Cherokee Vet for over 10 years, and always received the best care and treatment from Karyn. We will forever miss her beautiful smile and soft voice, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family and wonderfully supportive staff. Marilyn, Jen, Rhiannon, Diane, and Betsy - my prayers are with all of you for peace at heart and the strength to continue the excellent care at the practice.
Liz and Jeremy Souza
The dog community has lost a valued competitor and wonderful vet. Karyn will be missed very much. She was always so positive running her dogs appreciating their antics as well as their great runs. I loved watching her handle Puzzle especially at a distance. My deepest condolences to her family.
Karyn was our family vet for several years. She took special care of our pets, and helped us so much when we had to make the decision to have one of our dogs put to sleep. God bless the family and send you comfort in this difficult time.
So sad to hear of Karyn's passing. She was a genuine and compassionate person. She and her dogs were always so much fun to watch in agility and flyball. She will be missed by all that knew her in the dog world. My condolences to her family, both two-legged and four.
We and our animals all loved Karyn! She always had a kind word for them and a kinder touch. Our Duncan loved her and when we lost our Mia, she was understanding and did all she could to save her. She will be missed and we are so saddened to here of her abrupt passing. She was a very fun and sweet person with a true love for animals.
I am shocked and saddened by the news of Karyn's passing. She cared for my animals for years. She was not only my vet but became a friend. The world lost a true angel when she passed. She will be greatly missed!
may the bitterness of your loss and sorry SOON be replaced by sweet memories ... we LOVED Dr. Karen as she would constantly kiss our boston terriers Lilli and Sophi while providing professional care ... she and her SMILE will be missed forever ... ronnie and joe
Karyn has been our vet since we saw her picture in the Lodi paper participating in a dog agility contest. We knew she was the one to treat our pets, and never regretted the choice. She was a wonderful veterinary doctor and we have missed her mightily in the past few months. She will be difficult if not impossible to replace.
Our prayers are with the family as they travel this road of tremendous loss.
Karyn's classmates (UCD DVM 1994) are saddened by this news of the passing of a friend and colleague. We remember you with fondness, Karyn, and extend our deep sympathies to your family on their loss.
My heart goes out to the McCulloch family. I will always remember Karyn as the first to come to someone's aid if their dog was hurt at a trial. I remember her asking about my Lucky weeks after she hurt herself celebrating a jackpot she didn't even get. She remembered each animal and was always so thoughtful. I loved watching her run her dogs with such a quiet confidence I know I wish I had. She will be missed but remembered fondly by so many.
Terry, Lucky, Chewie and Buster
Leslie and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of knowing Karyn for many years through agility, and she was one of those people who made the sport very special. She was always willing to help and give advice about our animals, and her tireless work and energy were inspiring. I will miss her, and my thoughts are with you and all her loved ones.
So incredibly sad to hear this! My Griffs adored her and I enjoyed listening to her stories when we visited her office. Prayers being offered for her.
Karyn was an animal advocate, an agility competitor and a friend. She didn't hesitate to write me a glowing recommendation letter to get into vet school. She will be missed by many and was loved by all. My heart goes out to Leslie.
God has a very special Angel in Karyn. She was the kind of person that was always there if you had a question or were worried about anything having to do with your fur-family. It was a pleasure to meet her through agility, and watch her advance with her dogs. Karyn *** know that you were appreciated * for all you have done ! You will be very missed by many. Levi, Jessie and I thank you for all the times you were there for us. Prayers to the family :(
Sincere Condolences to the McCulloch family. I only knew Karyn through agility at WAG. We were part of the little dog group and were often right before or right after Karyn and her dogs. She always had a smile on her face and never took it too serious. She was a wonderful daughter as shown by her excitement of telling everyone on the day her mom got her Cate! I loved watching mother and daughter on the course discussing the best handling options. She will be missed.
Karyn you will be truly missed by all. I am so blessed to have had our paths cross in this life and will see you again someday. I can only be sad for a little while because I know you are now an angle in heaven taking care of all who need it. When we are at WAG look down and give us that great big beautiful smile of yours. Godspeed my friend.
Karyn was a hard working, kind hearted person who helped me immensely through vet school. She was my roommate, study partner and very good friend. My heart goes out to her family. You are in my prayers.
What a shock to us! Karyn was our vet for about the last 8 years and a good friend. She had us come out to her house just last month and showed us around. She was so proud of her place. Karyn we will miss you so much the twinkle in your eyes and wonderful smile. Sure you are already at the Rainbow Bridge with all your furbabies and fur friends. Give Titus a big huge and tell him how much I miss him just as I do you Karyn.
Jerry and Lavon Roach
Will miss you greatly, Karyn. You , your humor, cute dogs and vet advice were such a part of the WAG experience it is hard to imagine you not being there. I feel privileged to have known you.
You will be missed greatly here, but will be joined with your beloved pets. Thank you for being in my life, if shortly. It was a joy to run after you in agility!
There are no words to express the sadness we feel at the loss of our DogterK. I think the furkids feel it too. Karyn was always there to look after them in or out of the office. A Karyn was Henry's vet and most recent Gib's. Henry is very suspicious of strangers, but Karyn knew how to handle him (a tablespoon of dog food). She is one of the few that could trim his nails. Even Lucy allowed her to trim those furry feet. I think Henry may have forgiven her for putting him on a diet. We will miss her presence at competitions, her willingness to jump in and volunteer, and her dedication to the health of our animals. Good Grief - now what are we going to do!
I was so sad to hear of Karyn's passing. She was our family vet and I've never know anyone as caring or compassionate. The love and genuine warmth was reflected in her eyes and smile every time she cared for my dogs. My heartfelt condolences to the McCulloch family she truly was an amazing person.
My sincere condolences to the McCulloch Family. Karyn was our family's vet and I am so sad to hear of her passing. She was truly wonderful, compassionate and her love of animals was reflected in her warm manner and genuine smile when caring for my dogs. Sincerely
Karen- I enjoyed a fun cruise with you on your sister birthday. You were so much fun. I always enjoyed your company. I promise to keep a good eye on Kimmy. Love Meredith
Karyn was such a beautiful and kind friend...me and my dogs will miss her terribly. She was the best person and veterinarian anyone could ever hope to find!
She was always available...whether it was to chat about the men in our life or a health concern about one of my dogs...or one of my friends'/family's pets for that matter. She gracefully balanced the pets needs and best interest with the human's budget and often found very creative ways for people to save money so that they could afford to give their pets the best care possible.
She knew I had always wanted to be a veterinarian so she always let me stand in on my dogs' surgeries and even assist when possible/legal :) She also knew how well I know my dog trusted my opinion about his care, but wasn't afraid to tell me if she disagreed. I completely trusted her with my beloved dogs. She was open to hollistic veterinary care when most vets rolled their eyes at it. She was one of the few vets out there who understood the need of proper diet for dogs long before it was common knowledge. Most vets were selling Science Diet but she knew better! She took the time to connect with every animal before examining them and I have never seen an animal or person who didn't fall in love with her.
She even came to my home to examine my geriatric mastiff years ago because he was not easily transported. When I had to choose to put him to sleep months later, she begged me to not ask her to do it....but in the next breath she offered to come to the house at any time (day or night) if I couldn't get a hold of someone else.
I can't say enough about how wonderful she was as a friend and as a vet. I will be forever blessed to have been friends with this amazing woman and I will memorialize her by helping any animals in need whenever they cross my path.
My most sincere condolences to the McCulloch family...Leslie - you raised one stellar human being and you should be so very proud! My heart goes out to you and your family. XOXOXOXOX
Liz, Marae, Ali & Ava
Leslie and Leanne and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you all in my prayors. I have a lot of funny memories going to the Saftoball Games with Karyn. Always in my thoughts. Love Lisa
My sincere condolences goes out to the McCulloch Family. May the GOD of love grant you comfort at this time of your deep sorrow. Ps. 147:3.
