To the Chase family, sorry for your loss. I know of your generosity giving back to the community. So many schools and youth sports have benefitted from the Chase family and Chase Chevrolet. Bill and Charlotte raised two wonder full Children. They taught John and Marjorie to be a class act. Bills wisdom and generosity will be missed by the whole community.

Bill Chase was a Class Act and true old-school gentleman. He seemed to have incredible patience and empathy for family, friends and life, as it all swirled around him. He will be missed by all.

To My Father: Your wisdom

Dad,

I'm so sorry that this cruel world stole your body that housed such a wonderfully adventurous and honorable soul. I know you weren't ready to leave our world, but you have definitely sailed to a better place, ("especially with the current administration running things", as you would say, from a business standpoint). I will tell you that your military compatriots are the ones who have saved me, time and again, with their honorable integrity to help me through this, especially in honoring you and our family. It is to these most awesome men and women who have helped to carry me through this most difficult time, as well as friends who PROVED to be true and honorable, who have made ALL the difference!

Thank you for all the things you taught me, especially how I never have to “remember” a lie if I always tell the truth. I actually don't mind at all if I am hated for the truth! Jack Nicholas was right ... most people CAN'T handle the truth, and my loss of you was the hardest truth I've had to endure for the past few days. But you also told me to be strong – a great lesson I PROMISE to uphold! I will also make sound decisions, neither while extremely upset nor happy. You taught me these great strengths by your own example. You are, and will remain, one of the greatest men I've ever known!

I promise to carry your tradition of honesty, justice and integrity, especially giving others “the benefit of the doubt” (even when there are so many liars, cheaters and thieves who have been allowed to destroy the good lives of others with mal-intent, until all the evidence is presented) ... I will continue to fend off the wolves and the vampires every day, because of the strengths you passed on to me. I also promise to carry my sense of adventure throughout my life, which you also engaged with me. As you know me, you KNOW that I am, and have PROVEN to be that strong, even when others have lied to gain the edge over the truth. You can rest in peace now, as God's truth is the ultimate truth among humans.

Thank you for living BY EXAMPLE and teaching me how to do the same, without ANY WORDS! I am so proud of the way you fought to the end, NEVER complaining, always fighting (even when this heavy world weakened your body). I hope to continue doing the same, by living the way you did, with hard work and continual integrity, no matter how hard some loser tries to bring me down to their level. You gave me so much freedom to make mistakes, but never failed to believe in my higher moral character. I will not be a traitor to that!

I miss you SO MUCH Daddy. I will forever honor your great moral character and hard work that is really the secret to being happy on earth. Thanks for using the flies I tied in my youth, helping to bind the essence of my survival. Thanks for teaching me “catch and release”, except for when I was hungry. You are the most honorable man I have ever known, and maybe now I can actually find a man to marry as honorable as you were (even though I still don't ‘need' one), now that you are gone, because no matter what, I will NEVER settle for less than what I want. I promise to take care of Mom and John and protect their moral character by my example that you set for me. You truly were the greatest man I have ever known.

With your compass set, and your sails ready to take you to your next adventure, I wish you FAIR WINDS and FOLLOWING SEAS, and I PROMISE to keep the blue side up, especially remembering that the greatest truth of my life was knowing and loving you!

With love and aloha always in my heart,

Your daughter,

Marjorie
