…because time and unexpected events overtake them all. For man does not know his time. Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them (Eccl. 9:11,12). The hope is your families and friends trust the God of comfort in these tragic times. We continue to pray for the lost of you and yours.
My deepest sympathy to Chanin family, may the thought and prayers of relatives and friends gives you all encouragement and may God gives you all comfort and strenght that you all need during this difficult time. 2 Cor.1:4
To our niece Lise Chanin and the four children: Eric, Chloe, Danielle & Timothy, our deepest and heartfelt thoughts travel from our home in Arizona to Pearl River and while we are not able to travel east at this time, we are holding you in our prayers. Uncle David and Aunt Gloria
Our sincerest condolences.
I worked with Jeff in the four-four, and would periodically run into him around town, he was always friendly and a pleasure to chat with ...I remember Jeff as a good NYPD sergeant and a decent man, God Bless you my friend.
My heart goes out to the family of Mr. Chanin. Praying that God will give you all peace, comfort and strength.

Such a shock. I will always remember joining you and your brother & sisters in Kismet for KY Derby and the fun Paula and I had with all of you. May the love that surrounds the Chanin family carry them through this most difficult time.
When I had my last vicious asthma attack at work, Jeff, an armed guard at my job, was the person that stayed with me. Never left me until I got in the ambulance. I was doing everything in my power to make sure I did not pass out. His voice was what I clung to. He did more than what was expected and I will be forever thankful. I used to call him my "Asthma Angel". Soft spoke guy with a heart of gold. Jeff Chanin will most certainly be missed...
REST IN PEACE JEFF!!
My heart goes out to the Chanin family in their time of sorrow.
