Cosmo Petrone Obituary
Cosmo Angelo Petrone, of Carmel passed away on Monday, March 4th, 2013 at the age of 74. He was born June 4th, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Eugenia (Crescenzo) and Michael Petrone. He received a Bachelors of Science from Manhattan College and worked at the New York Botanical Garden for 30 years. He was an avid Model Airplane enthusiast and a member of the WRAMS Club.
Cosmo is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Castaldo); his daughters, TinaAnn and Cheryl; sons, Cosmo, Jr. and Michael (Christina) Petrone; his mother, Eugenia; sisters, Gail and Michele; brother, Michael; his beloved grandchildren, Kristy, Jonathan, Jessi-Ann, Taylor Ann, Haley Angela and great-granddaughter, AnnaMarie.
Visitation will be held at Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Carmel, NY 10512. Phone: (845) 225-2144, on Wednesday, March 6 from 7-9, Thursday March 7 from 2-4 & 7-9. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am at St. James the Apostle Church. Interment to follow at St. Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY. The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
