Sciandra, Rose
Rose "Ro-Ro" Paterno Sciandra, 78, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died July 3, 2013. She was born July 7, 1934 in Harrison, NY to the late Dominick and Mary Fiore Paterno. She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Anthony "Dave" Sciandra whom she married on July 6, 1951. She is also survived by her son Anthony Sciandra, III and wife Sandy, daughters Christine Sciandra and Kathi Sciandra Walker and husband Steve and grandchildren, Laura, Michaela, AJ, Leah-Marie, Elizabeth, Michael and Danny and great-grandson Aiden. Her sister Angelina Lunapiena. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and Joseph Paterno and sisters Bambina Varbero, Mary Bellantoni, Jenny King and Louise Bonis. Rose was a long time member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and taught religion. Heartfelt thanks are extended to her caregivers Ludi, Lori, Rosie, Carol and Liz. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Friday July 5, 2013 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:45AM on Saturday July 6, 2013 at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St. Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Corpus Christi Church or to the Port Chester, Rye, Rye Brook Ambulance Corps.
