Mr. Cawley brought so much joy to my day whenever he stopped by to say hello. He always had a positive attitude and he was greatful for each day. My favorite story he told me was that of "Pokey Pony", a horse he got for his daughter when she was little. He must have told me that story 10 times over the years! What a joyful, positive spirit he was, indeed. I will always miss Mr. Cawley & I will never forget his message: To show love & compassion to others. Rest in peace Mr. Cawley.
Much love, Brooke Capshaw

I met "Cool" Bill in the year of 1990. What a great sense of humor, giving spirit and a great poet. Bless him and his family.

See you later my friend! I met you the year you arrived in our small town. A lot has changed since I was born here and the many many changes have always interested Wild Bill. I worked with him when he was a local realtor and he continued to contact me all of these years regarding real estate questions. He recently teased me that I was like spoiled milk and needed to retire and play more. I have a little wooden car that he made for my grandson and took to my office one day many years ago. Bill was a simple man in his requests during his life...he only desired to see others smile and enjoy life...nothing too much to ask from a gentleman who arrived here in our little town and watched it grow! I too have a few of his poem books and read through them periodically. Rest in peace my friend until we smile together once again:) Much love and fond memories, Francine Silva
