There are no words worthy enough to express my heart felt thanks to such a wonderful and humane person as Bernard J. Shoo. In 1972 my husband and I were devastated when our son was born with a very serious birth defect. After Dr. Shoo performed the first of several procedures, he told us we were facing a long and difficult journey. He said he wanted our son to be able to enjoy many activities but he also prepared us for what he might not be able to do. As a result of Dr. Shoo's encouragement and skills we saw great progress. If only he could see our son today as a successful policeman and fireman at Louisville International. God Bless the soul of Dr. Shoo.

Dr Bernie and Miss Katie are together with God now in heaven. Great people. They raised good children. Prayers and thoughts to the Schoo family.

What a very special person. He was a doctor at St. Joseph Infirmary when my mother was a nurse's aid in the Sick Baby Unit. Doctor Schoo was very kind and thought a lot of my mother. He visited the funeral home when she passed. Even though he was a pediatric surgeon, he performed my mastectomy when I was 41 years old. I could not have asked for a more caring and kind surgeon. He gave me very good advice. I know he is greeting all the people who loved him so much in Heaven.

DR Schoo saved my life several times from the early 50's. Through my adult life. A wonderful man and great Doctor. Our prayers will be with the family in this difficult time. God bless.
