My deepest condolences to the Moore Family. We have received some mail for the family, as we live in the previous address for Michael C. Moore. If someone could contact me with a forwarding address for Michael, I'd like to get this mail to him. hmcelhatton@mpr.org

So sad to hear of Condict's death from my brother last evening. It feels to me like the last Moore elder has now gone to the grave. My own father was the youngest of the five children of Rufus Moore, owner of Oriental art galleries in New York City, who died in the 1918 flu pandemic. Donald Moore was the eldest son of Rufus and Condict the son of my Uncle Don. My father and his elder brother Uncle Don remained close throughout their lives. Every Thanksgiving of my youth until the age of 13 when we moved to Louisville was spent in Essex Fells, New Jersey, at Uncle Don and Aunt Edith's home. What fond memories I have of those wonderful Thanksgiving dinners on the lawn overlooking the small lake that served as a natural hockey rink during winters. Many of their neighbors joined us there. Condict and his family relocated to Louisville shortly after my father and our family. So, I had the pleasure growing up with my favorite relative and his children Michael and Martha, wives Virginia and Caroline, in Louisville where I enjoyed extraordinarily happy times during my high school years. I particularly like the term “Greatest Generation” applied to/in remembering Cousin Condict. He fits this description to a T in my eyes.
