Thank you Eleanor for the beautiful pictures and your perfect work. I remember "Naked jungle" where you were gorgeous. I wonder why you didn't get an Oscar in your career.

Desde muy joven fui "fan" de Eleanor Parker.
Bellísima, inteligente, sensible, soberbia actriz. Mereció un par de oscars. Siempre recordaré con cariño su gélida mirada y su espléndida melena pelirroja.

The Golden Age of Hollywood was brighter because of the presence of Eleanor Parker. She was a beautiful and gifted actress that took her craft seriously and never gave a bad performance which was testiment to her dedication to her art, but she was even more dedicated to her family making a conscience decision to keep her private life PRIVATE and never trading it to further her career or for fame. Ms. Parker was a classy lady and great actress that should have received the Oscar for her perfomances in Caged and Interrupted Melody; and the Academy should have recognized her body of work with the Lifetime Acheivement Award. True to her character though, Ms. Parker was not in it for the awards or accolaides; as a matter of fact she was quoted as saying she felt her greatest reward came when she was able to buy a fur coat for her Mother and a home for her parents. Classy lady through and through. In "The Naked Jungle" with Charlton Heston I believe she gave what could be considered the most erotic scene ever when Lanigen was putting bug juice on her character. Ms. Parker's sultry and satisfied look after Mr. Heston left her hut was just great. She was able to convey so much on the big screen with just a look, a smile or a wink. I doubt that we will ever be blessed with the likes of Ms. Parker ever again. My thoughts and prayers go out to her children, family, friends and devoted fans. Thank you Ms. Parker for the hundreds of hours of quality entertainment you have left for us and may you enjoy eternal peace. Shalom beautiful lady.
