DOUGLAS, ROBERT L. "BOB," 80, went home to his Lord, Tuesday April 29, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Louisville to Ollie and Marjorie (Shouse) Douglas.
Bob was a retired Regional Manager for the Metropolitan Parks & Recreation Dept, with 34 years service.
He attended the University of Louisville and was a Kentucky Colonel and a U. S. Army veteran.
He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bill Douglas.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Rose M. (Amback) Douglas; his children, Darlene M. Douglas Roth, Robert A. "Tony" Douglas (Tarita), and Robert "Robbie" Probus; six grandchildren, Daniel (Holly), Leah, and Jeremy Toma, Brittany Douglas, Meagan and Laura Caitlin Probus; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday.

Every day I miss him more and more the chimes i received from the funeral rings everytime I need to talk to someone I look at the sky and see clouds passing by wishing I could see you one more time but one day dad I will thank you for watching out for your grand kids and me love you so much miss you so much your daughter Darlene
