I was so sorry to hear about Alex. We were friends in high school in Jeff. She was brilliant and funny, and I know she is missed terribly. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Although I never met you Ray and Lauren, I was a good friend of Alex's and taught her how to play the guitar. She was very passionate about her music.
Checked today to see if Alex had a Facebook page or some way to get in touch. Was a friend of hers at Indiana University. Was so sorry to find that she had passed away. The way she was described in her obituary is exactly as I remember her. She was fun, devoted and had a passion for social justice. She hosted a few of us at our first Kentucky Derby - where we had a great time but never saw a horse. (We were in the Infield.) Please accept my condolences. Am so sorry for your loss.
I was so sorry to hear about Alex. I enjoyed talking with her whenever I picked up my Market Day. I am so sorry for your loss.
Dear Ray and Lauren,
On Monday I received a letter from Liz telling me of Alex' passing. Since we met at IU in the fall of 1968 I have counted her a friend. We wrote from time to time over all these years and I am shocked that I will never see her again on this earth. We had so much fun together and we shared some very interesting times! I hope I will meet both of you at some point so we can reminisce about Alex. What a woman!!

I have known Alex for many years through Market Day. I looked forward to seeing her every month. On many occassions we had lovely conversations that went well beyond idle chatter. I was so shocked when she wasn't there at the last pickup and rendered speechless when I learned why. I will very much miss her and regret deeply that I didn't get to know her better. I plan to make a donation to the Humane Society in her honor as per the family's request. My deepest sympathies to the family.
Ray, I'm really sorry to hear about Alex. Enjoyed working with her in the studio years ago. My thoughts and sympathies are with you for your great loss. She was a very sweet, kind person.
Ray and Lauren please accept our most sincere sympathies. We are truly sorry for your loss. Ray, we miss you and think of you often. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. Alex and I worked together at Market Day for several years in Louisville. She was always determined, and unflappable. She will be sorely missed.
I met Alex during the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Frazier Rehab. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to know her. Despite our brief friendship, I will never forget her and the impact she had on my life. Am so sorry for your loss.
My heart and prayers go out to you Ray and your daughter. Jack [ home depot]
Sorry for your loss. I did not know Alex well, but I saw her play/sing music several times years ago, as my brother, Tom, was their drummer for a while. I commented to him just recently about a song I remember them doing that she sang. Both of us still play music, inspired by a number of people over the years such as Alex.
I will miss Alex terribly and know few as compassionate
See her clearly in the backyard, I see her tending the garden and enjoying the breeze.
She will be dearly missed as my neighbor and as a human being of selfless energy.
Ray...............so sorry to hear about Alex/ She4 and Linda were such good friends and even though we have lost touch, I know how it feels to lose your partner! My prayers are with you and Lauren!
