I regret that I just learned of Lincoln's passing today. I had the honor of meeting him several times. When we spoke it was only sparingly about the bourbon industry but rather more as old friends. On our second meeting, some two years after the first, he remembered that we were both Oregon born. I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of prominents of the bourbon industry, but hands down Lincoln was most special to me. I will miss him.
Thinking of you and your family at this time. Enjoyed working with Lincoln at B-F. Will miss him.
Ceil...many of us are deeply saddened by Lincoln's passing...cannot begin to tell you how much he has meant to Debbie and I..he will truly be greatly missed...Bll Brannan
Lincoln will now be singing in the greatest choir of all. Since we moved I have missed those days at NECC. Standing beside him was my honor, he was a friend.
Lincoln & Ceil both are incredible selfless Christian people. They have been a blessing to many including going on mission trips and serving people around the world, to serving the homeless in their own community. I can remember Thanksgiving and Christmas Family dinners when they would bring a 'guest' who was a person that was living in a homeless shelter and they wanted him to experience a family holiday. But this was not the extent of their caring. They had ongoing relationships with people helping them in multiple ways.
Also, Ceil & Lincoln would have been married 50 years in 2014. Many people never find the love of their life, much less have them for almost 50 years. What an incredible team they were and what a blessing to everyone around them. They both have fabulous personalities- though different. Lincoln with his witty, dry sense of humor and Ceil with her outgoing warm sense of humor and infectious laugh. Lincoln was her true love and focus of her life. Her sorrow is deep and the loss the most difficult thing to endure so far in life. However, her belief in the promise of Christ and the knowledge that Lincoln is now perfectly healthy and happy in Heaven is sustaining her until they are together again.
While Lincoln's career history is impressive, even more impressive is his devotion to his family, his commitment to selflessly serving others and his character and integrity that will live on in our memories of him forever.
My condolences go out to you and your family. I know he was proud of you and loved his family with all his heart.
