To his family: I am sorry for your loss. He was a great guy and always very active. He was my neighbor for over 20 years. I will remember him and his wife. Very nice and supportive people. He continued in that way always. I am sad to never see him walk outside anymore and greet, or running into him at the post office, he will be missed. May he rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear of Bob passing. I was student of his at UofL in 1977-78. He inspired me to seek FBI employment and I retired from the FBI in 2012. Bob was always willing to listen to students who disagreed with him and freely gave of his time to encourage students. I'm honored to have known him.

Diane, Mark & all of Bob's family. Bill Ellison and I were privileged to represent the Conversation Club at the Liturgy of Resurrection this morning. All of us in the CC enjoyed the evening more when "Domalewski" was there. You liked to see him coming. He had the gift of hospitality. We were sad when he took inactive status and I visited him at Seneca Place because I wanted to see him. Wayne Anderson & I came by last Tuesday anticipating yet another good time with a best friend. We were disappointed that he was so sick, but are glad he didn't have a prolonged time of physical and mental suffering, with you all having to watch helplessly.
I know you are grieving deeply for what is now gone -- both parents -- from your family life. In such a time I think of 2 things. 1)It is better to grieve now for what we've lost than to grieve permanently for what we longed for & deserved but never had in a father. Bob was Catholic Dad Grade A. 2)The Apostle (I Thess. 4:13) said, "WE [that is, the CHURCH] do not grieve as others do who have no hope."
I shall miss my friend more than is usually the case and he will ever be "gentle on my mind."
Thanks for being those he loved the most,
Charles Brockwell

Dr. Dom was a great friend to me and to Southern Police Institute. He was dedicated to law enforcement , enthusiastic about education, and extremely loyal to his friends and family. His zest for life was infectious. And he did indeed tell the corniest jokes. We miss him. My condolences to his family.

I have fond memories of your father. He and my father were friendly rivals. He was the last of "The Old Guard". He used to come visit my father. We called them The Bobs.
