Into the light of the Lord. In memory of Bill and Pixie
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I am so thankful I married Bill. He touched my life the day I met him. We were together for 23 years with his four daughters, their husbands and children as well as my son and daughter, granddaughters and great-grandaughter. Our life wasn't perfect, as no ones is, but he loved me, provided for me, protected me and spoiled me. Everyone he new was given a nickname. I had many: Quita, Q.,QB and Qube, to name a few. I will always remember his soft side, the ways he showed his love to those he loved and the way he expected respect, but also gave it. I find it hard to imagine my life without him.
Therefore, If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation:the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17
We enjoyed a great visit and lunch at the Riverwalk on a bright and sunny day when he and Laquita came to San Antonio. Bernie was looking forward to meetin up for a good golf game in the near future. My best buddy Teresa's Dad always a good fella and would call now and then to check on my well being even though his own health wasn't always so great. He helped raise 5 daughters to be strong, wonderful women. The only thing bad I can say is they had to wear dresses. I am wishing blessings and comfort for the entire family and love to my sisters. I am certain that he is waddeling in the light of the Lord with Pixie. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your family.
I am really sorry to hear about Bill - he will certainly be missed. I have one regret . . . Bill told me years ago I would probably be good at golf because I was a perfectionist. I never gave him the opportunity to let him know he was wrong! Rest in peace, Bill!
I know Bill will be missed by all who loved him.I am praying for you all and remember,we have HOPE that we will see him again in Heaven.
Michelle - I am very sorry about your loss. Your Grandpa seemed like a very nice man. I enjoyed talking to him at the wedding. I thought he was being funny when he told me his name. I told him that God only meant for good men to be named William. Now he is playing golf in heaven with one of my best friends (my father-in law) whose name is also William. Peace to you, as I'm sure this is a trying time. I wish I was home to help you. I'll pray for you and your family. Love ~ Jammie
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Laquita. Bill was a humble man and always a pleasure to talk to. He has been such a great neighbor to my daughter, son-in-law and grandson; always involved in what was going on in their lives. I knew I didn't have to worry because Bill was just a '4-wheel ride' away! Peace Be With You.
It was the summer of 2012 when my father in law, Phil Ernst and I met Bill on the 1st tee at Penn-Run. After 18 holes with Bill, I remember telling Phil, this guy is awesome, lets invite him to join our weekly golf group, Ernie's Gang. We asked and within weeks, he had become, "part of ithe gang". I was honored to have know Bill, even if was only a short time and only on the course....He will be missed. Peace Be With You.
